The County Government of Kakamega, in collaboration with Operation International- medical volunteers changing the World, is conducting a free surgical camp for specialized surgeries including head and neck surgery, plastic surgery, craniofacial surgery and general surgery at the Kakamega County General and Referral Hospital.
CECM for Health Services CPA Livingston Imbayi Wednesday morning made an impromptu visit at the facility on behalf of Governor Fernandes Barasa and expressed gratitude to the team of specialized doctors running the activity assuring them of the County Governmentโs support.
The exercise that began on May 18th will end on May 24th, 2025 and is led by Dr Ian Otinga a resident of USA who hails from Khwisero sub-county. So far, 43 patients have been discharged after undergoing successful surgeries.
Present were Dr. Stephen Wandeyi the Director of Medical Services and Dr. Christian Lamba the facility’s Medical Superintendent.
